LEH, July 1: President Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) has been booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act case.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a teenaged girl with Women Police Station here stating sexual assault on her by Tsewang Thinles, who is presently holding the post of President Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) Leh.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 5/19 under section 354, 354-A RPC and 9(L)/10 POCSO Act has been registered at Women Police Station Leh and investigation started.
When contacted, SSP Leh Sargun Shukla confirmed about the registration of FIR against President LBA Leh. “The investigation into the case is going on”, she added.
