BANI (Kathua), Nov 14: LCC Bani lifted the 3rd edition of Dahrore Premium League (DPL), organised by a local committee in the memory of Late Akshay Hadoker, here today.
On the occasion, Dr Rameshwar Singh, Zonal Medical Officer Koti Chandyar was the chief guest, wherein about 40 teams participated from different areas of Bani and Kathua.
The final match was played between Hadoker XI and LCC Bani in which LCC Bani won the final match by 38 runs. The award of man of the tournament was bagged by Harsh Thakur, while best bowler award went to Aman and man of the match was clinched by Sohit Lalhal besides best batsman award of the tournament was awarded to Royal Parihar.
Dr Rameshwar Singh appreciated the efforts of DPL committee members Ankush Hadoker President, Yogeshwar Chauhan Vice president and Arvind Hadoker coordinator for holding this tournament.
Dr Rameshwar appealed to the children and youth of the area to make sports part of their daily routine for achieving a healthy body and mind.
He asserted that youth by remaining involved in games get saved from the menace of drug abuse besides developing their overall personality both physically and mentally.
