Lead futures down on subdued spot demand

NEW DELHI, May 28:  Lead prices today eased to Rs 123.75 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced exposures on subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in May fell by 45 paise, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 123.75 per kg in a business turnover of 175 lots.
The metal for delivery in June also fell by 45 paise, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 124.70 per kg in a business volume of 32 lots.
Marketmen said a weak trend in domestic markets due to subdued demand from battery makers and trimming of positions by speculators, kept pressure on lead futures here. (PTI)
