NEW DELHI, May 26: Taking positive cues from global market and rising demand at domestic spot markets, lead futures rose 0.98 per cent to Rs 124.15 per kg today as participants enlarged their exposure.
Lead for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 1.20, or 0.98 per cent, to Rs 124.15 per kg, with a turnover of 225 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
The metal for delivery in June gained Re 1, or 0.81 per cent, to Rs 124.80 per kg in a business volume of 31 lots.
Market analysts said that apart from domestic demand, particularly from battery-makers, the metal’s gain in overseas market influenced lead prices in futures trade. (PTI)
