JAMMU, Oct 22: Department of Electrical Engineering at Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) here organised a guest lecture on ‘GIS and Motivation & Career Planning’ for the students of 7th semester of Electrical Engineering.
The guest speaker was K.R Suri, GM (Retd) Power Grid and a certified Career Councillor.
First part of the session started with talk on latest technology Gas Insulated Switch Gear used in power system and the lecture broadly focused on the use of GIS technology in latest trends.
Guest Speaker K.R Suri while speaking on the occasion said: “A positive mind finds opportunity in everything while a negative mind finds fault in everything”.
In next session he guided final year students about opportunities and discussed career options in private and public sector which will be beneficial for them.
Prof. (Dr) A.K Srivastava (Director YCET), B.R Verma (Chief Coordinator YCET), Loveenesh Talwar (HoD Electrical Department) along with the faculty members were also present on this occasion.
The session concluded with vote of thanks by Loveneesh Talwar.
