UDHAMPUR, May 13: Monthly meeting of the District Udhampur unit of Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held, here today under the chairmanship of Arunesh Kumar, district president of the Forum. The participants deliberated over the burning problems faced by the Plus 2 community and also the current scenario of the education. They discussed the new transfer policy in the School Education Department and urged the Dy Chief Minister to strictly implement it to achieve the desire results. They also urged the authorities in the JKBOSE to delegate the DDO powers to the Assistant Secretary JKBOSE Sub Office Udhampur so that the clearance of bills of Supdts, Dy. Supdts, Asstt. Supdts, and Inspectors pending for a long time could be cleared. Other issues which came up for discussion were running pattern, enhancement in grade pay of Principals, non-vacational status for 10 + 2 Principals, parity in the pay scale of lecturers in physical education, restoration of 40 percent promotional quota, early adjustment of newly promoted masters, headmasters, and lecturers and issuing the list of Senior Lecturers.
Those who addressed the meeting included Parjesh Kumar, Ashwani Sharma, Rajinder Kumar, Ravi Kanchan, Lakshmi Kant, Joginder Kuamr, Jatinder Sharma and Brij Mohan Verma.
