Lecturers Forum urges new DSEJ to streamline functioning of Deptt

UDHAMPUR, Oct 16: The monthly meeting of District Udhampur unit of All J& K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, district president of the Forum.
In the meeting, the speakers hoped that the new Director of School Education Jammu would take steps to streamline the functioning of the Department and strive hard to achieve academic excellence. They demanded that the various issues of the Education fraternity, including review of the transfer orders of hard hit lecturers and teachers, filling up a large number of vacancies, adjustmemt of surplus lecturers etc will be considered and suitably resolved by the new DSEJ.
The members also demanded suitable seating facilities for the employees who come to the Directorate for the redressal of their grievances. They demanded rationalization of the posts of lecturers in all Higher Secondary Schools and ‘Heritage School’ status to those schools which have completed hundred years of their existence.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Sharma assured the new Director of full cooperation of the District Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum in all the efforts aimed at achieving the objective of quality education.
Others, who spoke, included Ved Prakash Sharma, D P Sharma, Arunesh Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Rakeshwar Sharma, Ravi Kanchan and Joginder Gupta.
