Legal Aid, Legal Literacy Camp held

JAMMU, May 1: Dogra Law College today organized ‘Legal Aid and Legal Literacy Camp’ in collaboration with the N S S unit of the College at Govt High School, Chak Jaralan in Bishnah today.
48 students of Dogra Law College participated in the camp and interacted with the students of Govt High School Chak Jaralan in order to make them aware of different Statutory Acts like “Prevention of Corruption Act”, “Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act”, “Prevention of Food Adulteration Act” and “Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) Act”. The students of the school studying in various classes also participated in the discussion.
Sarpanch of the Village Chak Jaralan, Jatinder Singh was the chief guest on the occasion who in his address appreciated the initiative of Dogra Law College in organizing the Camp.
Nidhi Bhargava, Lecturer in Law Dogra Law College and Convener Legal Aid and Legal Counseling Cell presented welcome address.
Survey of the village was conducted under the supervision of Sonia Gupta, Lecturer in Law and Member Legal Aid and Legal Counseling Cell. About 80 households were surveyed in the village.
Dr Anu Mankotia, Principal In-charge Dogra Law College and Vineet Dubey, N S S Programme Officer Dogra Law College accompanied the students in this Camp.
