Leopard creates panic in Ramnagar

RAMNAGAR, May 6: A leopard has created terror in the town and the people have stopped moving out during night hours in several localities.
This leopard was spotted near Narsingh temple in the morning. As a large number of people started gathering there, the wild beast then slowly moved towards nearby office of Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Ramnagar. The people started bursting crackers and hearing loud sound, the leopard then ran away towards nearby forest closure.
The forest officials also arrived here after some time. They disclosed that animal couple is taking refuge for the last several weeks in the nearby forest closure. Their two cubs were also noticed by the forest guards. They asked the people to remain vigilant. They told people that Wild Life staff has been requested to capture the animals but their attempts have failed several times.
