SRINAGAR: Police on Thursday arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal.
A police official said that following specific information about the presence of militants in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, a police team arrested a LeT militant from Kangan. He said the arrested militant has been identified as Zubair Bhat, a resident of Qazigund.
“The militant, who belongs to LeT, is being questioned,” he added. Meanwhile, conforming the arrest of the militant, official twitter handle of Kashmir Zone Police, said, “One active militant Zubair Bhat of Qazigund affiliated to LeT arrested by joint team of Srinagar police and Ganderbal police.” (AGENCIES)
