LG congrats Bandipora girl for securing Gold in kickboxing

JAMMU, Oct 28: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today congratulated Bandipora girl Tajamul Islam for clinching Gold medal in World Kickboxing Championship in Egypt.
”Many congratulations to Tajamul Islam of Bandipora for scripting history in Cairo Egypt by winning the Gold medal at the World Kickboxing Championship, 2021,” LG tweeted.
The LG said, “Our young kickboxing champion has done exceptionally well over the years. Tajamul’s grit and passion will inspire many youngsters in the country,” he said, adding that her athletic journey of remarkable passion and unparalleled grit will inspire many youngsters of the country to achieve new milestones.
It is pertinent to mention here that Tajamul Islam is resident of a remote village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. She had represented India in Italy and created the history by winning a Gold medal in the Under-8 category of the World Kickboxing Championship in the year 2016 when she was just 8 year old, while a year before, he got national recognition when she clinched the Gold medal in the Sub-junior category at the National Kickboxing Championship held at Talkatora Stadium New Delhi in the year of 2015.
