JAMMU, Apr 15: Lieutenant Governor today omitted Sub-Rule 4 of Rule 15 of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service Rules, 2008.
This has been done in exercise of powers conferred by Proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India and in the light of recent judgment of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
The Tribunal vide its judgment dated March 30, 2021 held Sub-Rule 4 of Rule 15 as illegal and contrary to law.
