JAMMU, Sept 23: Expressing the dismay over blatantly ignoring the PoJK refugees by the office of Lt Governor Jammu and Kashmir, the SOS International said that there is no change in the attitude of administration post abrogation of article 370 and 35A and the present setup is still working as pro Kashmiri, besides deliberately snubbing the Jammuites.
Narrating his woeful plight about being ignored by the LG office for not allowing him to meet with Lt Governor, Rajiv Chuni Chairman SOS international in a statement said that he had approached the office of Lt Governor on 22-08-2020 through his official email to seek an appointment with Manoj Sinha to highlight their grievances but all hopes of PoJK DPs have been deflated deliberately. He said that the personal staff of the Lt Governor is not respecting the sentiments and existence of PoJK DPs and they are forced to live in trauma like situation.
Mentioning about the relief package of Rs 5.5 lakh being paid by Government of India, he said from last seven months people are not receiving the money despite their cases have been cleared by concerned offices authorized by the administration the reason known to concerned office. He said that people are making several rounds of office of Provincial Rehabilitation Officer Jammu to know about the relief but all in vain as they are not getting proper reply.
Divulging about the visit and remarks of the then three interlocutors of Government of India Daleep Padgoankar, Radha Kumar and MM Ansari, Chuni said that trio unanimously echoed the pain of PoJK DPs and made it clear that in J&K there is no other problem except the severe issues of PoJK DPs but their observations have been not respected at all.
He said that after the visit of the then interlocutors no government authority dared to visit the PoJK DPs’ camps, which is great pathetic story of the PoJK DPs. He asked the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to spare two days to visit the PoJK DPs’ camps to take the stock on first hand then to act accordingly.
He urged the Lt Governor to consider PoJK refugees also as a human being and do not ignore this section deliberately as this section has been already ignored and rejected by each and every government.
