JAMMU, Sept 23: Third Day of ‘Display Your Talent-2016-17’, being organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, today witnessed three events, Light Vocal Solo, Sketching, and Photography.
In Light Vocal Solo, 32 students participated and Vishakha Bhardwaj from GCW Gandhi Nagar stood First, Vanshbeer Singh from Department of Computer Science JU was declared Second and Vishal Pandita from Government MAM College stood Third. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Shivi Badyal from Govt Degree College, Udhampur, Rohit Sharma from Institute of Music & Fine Arts, Rajat Bandral from GDC Udhampur and Neha from GCW Gandhi Nagar.  Sham Sajan, Subhash Langeh and Surinder Manhas were the Judges for the event and Dr Sarita Sood was the Teacher In-Charge for the event.
In Sketching, 30 students participated and Hemant Magotra from Department of Commerce JU was declared First. Ranju Kumari and Stanzin Dathdul, both from the Institute of Music & Fine Arts, stood Second and Third respectively. Certificates of  Merit were awarded to Rashmi Singh from GDC Akhnoor and Bharti Heer from The Law School.  Bhushan Kesar, Aamir Al Mansoor and Dheeraj Nanda were the Judges for the event.
27 students participated in Photography competition, Vijay Singh from Institute of Music and Fine Arts was declared First, Akash Rajput from GCET, Jammu stood Second and Deepak Koul from MIET stood Third. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Arun Atri from GGM Science College, Partap Singh from Department of Urdu JU, Simarpreet Singh and Aditya Sharma, both from Govt MAM College.  Arvind Gupta and Chander Sunder were the Judges and Dr Harish Chander was the Teacher In-charge for the event.
The events were coordinated by Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor and Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer.
On September 24, two events; Essay Writing and Short Story Writing would be conducted from 10 am onwards. The Quiz, which was scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 shall now be conducted on October 2, 2016.
