JAMMU, Nov 5: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) inaugurated the Literary Club ‘Words of Wisdom’ (WOW) which will quench the knowledge thrust of students.
First activity of the Club ‘Cascade-11/18’ was held today where the wide spectrum of the literary activities by the Club like picture perception, on spot debate, quiz and paper presentation were held.
The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony.
Chief Guest of the programme was Sunaina Sharma, Secretary, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Speaking on the occasion, she stressed upon the fact that students should be able to express themselves clearly.
“If they have ideas, they should know the art of persuasion,” she said adding that there is a hidden treasure in every individual which only needs introspection.
Guest of Honour was Vidhi Singh, Chairman JGEI addressed the students about how such activities can promote confidence and lateral thinking among the students.
He also emphasized students to gain practical knowledge.
During the programme logo of the Club WOW was launched by the dignitaries.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman JGEI, Dr Arvind Dewangan, Director YCET, Dr. Vijay K. Koul, Dean YCET and Nidhi Jamwal, Administrative Secretary YCET.
