JAMMU, Jan 6: Adbi Kunj, a literary body, organised a special literary meet in the premises of KidZee School Talab Tillo Jammu on the occasion of new year.
Eminent Urdu poet S Malik Singh Wafa presided over the function while a young poet Masoom Kishtwari was the special guest on the occasion whereas, Ved Uppal organizer of the organization conducted the proceeding of the meet.
Sham Talib, president, Aarash Om Dalmotra Chairman of the organization also shared the presidium. In his welcome address, Sham Talib presented a detailed report on the various activities of the organization during the year 2016 while Om Dalmotra highlighted the various programmes of the organization in the current year.
In the poetry section, two special papers presented, include Sal-e-Gusushta-Aur-Adbi-Kunj-Ek-Jaiza (Urdu) by Om Dalmotra and Sal-e-Nau-Aur-Adbi-Kunj-Neya-Azam-Ney-Iraday by Sham Talib. The other poets of the session included Santosh Nadan, Raj Kamal, Bishan Dass Khak, Manzoor Badana, Sanjeev Kumar, Romesh Rahi, Rajeev Kumar, Romesh Swami, Bal Krishan, Devinder Singh, Rakesh Tripat, MS Kamra, SK Gupta, Vinod Katib, Ram Pal Dogra and Sham Talib.
A condolence meeting was also held in which Adbi Kunj condoled the sad demise of a renowned writer Bhram Saroop Sachar and the sad demise of the mother (Begum Bibi Ayesha) of renowned Gojjari poet and writer Mohammad Adris Shad of Srinagar.
