JAMMU, Mar 7: Little Champs Play-way School, New Plot, today celebrated its annual day and also conducted prize distribution ceremony.
An impressive and colourful function in this connection was organized at GCW Gandhi Nagar wherein little champs presented a number of items displaying their talent and exposure.
Prof Savita Bakshi, former Special Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Usha Kher, DTI Traffic Police and BSP leader M P Gupta were the guests of honour.
The function started with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by Aum Vandana, presented by the Jr KG children. The students of Pre-nursery presented a fancy dress show based on theme `Healthy food and safe environment’. Other students of pre-nursery presented fancy dress show based on our great political leaders.
Other attractions of the event were Dandia dance, Dogri dance, Skit on story Cap-seller and the monkeys, dance on English and Hindi songs, displaying of self defense techniques etc, which were highly appreciated and applauded by the audience present on the occasion.
The prize distribution ceremony for the graduating class was also held and awards under various other categories were presented to the students. Chief guest and guests of honour also facilitated the students of Senior KG on their Graduation ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Savita Bakshi appreciated the spirit and confidence of the students and praised the school for giving such a stage exposure to all the kids and encouraged staff with her precious words.
Principal Sonal Abrol presented school’s report and vote of thanks speech. She said that the school has given good academic results which would continue in future too.
The school chairperson Capt Vinay Abrol, presented mementos to the chief guest and guests of honour.
