Little Flower School Akhnoor lifts U-19 T20 title

JAMMU, Jan 9: Outplaying NCC convincingly in the summit clash, Little Flower School Akhnoor lifted the title trophy in the 1st Pawan Memorial Under-19 Boys Cricket Tournament, organized by Singh Cricket Club at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, Little Flower School scored 125 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Amit and Nitish Singh were the main scorers with 42 and 28 runs, while Goutam and Deepak Magotra chipped in with 15 and 14 runs respectively. For NCC, Kannu and Raghav took 2 wickets each.
In reply, NCC managed to score 116 runs in the allotted overs by losing 8 wickets, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 9 runs. Sammy and Akash contributed 47 and 42 runs respectively. For Little Flower, Nitish and Goutam took 2 wickets each, while Dheeraj and Deepak claimed one wicket each. Nitish Singh was adjudged as man of the match.
Sham Singh Langeh, president Singh Cricket Club, Akhnoor was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
The match was officiated by Arush and Rishav as umpires, while Asha and Shubham maintained the scorebook.
