JAMMU, Dec 9: Little Flower Higher Secondary School celebrated its Annual Sports Day at Sainik Colony, here today. The event brought together students, teachers, parents, and esteemed guests for a day full of athleticism, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.
The day began with a grand opening ceremony, featuring a captivating march-past by students from all grades, followed by a ceremonial flag-raising by the chief guest, Yasir Hamid Sirwal, Deputy Director, JKBOSE Jammu. In his address, Sirwal emphasized the significance of sports in developing not only physical fitness but also discipline and resilience in young minds.
Students participated in various events, including 100m and 200m sprints, relay races, and tug of war. Special attractions included the Bucket Race, Hula-hoop Race, Sac Race, Ice Cream Race, and Ball Balancing, performed by Junior and Senior Eurokids.
The prize distribution ceremony honoured the winners with medals, trophies and certificates, with Sirwal presenting the awards. Principal Kusum Rattanpal expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers for making the event a success, reinforcing the school’s commitment to fostering holistic development.
