SAMBA, Mar 4: A live mortar shell was found today in a field close to the International Border in BOP Narainpur in Ramgarh sector.
According to the official sources, today afternoon, an old rusted live mortar shell was found at Border Out Post Narainpur during the digging and leveling up of field with the help of a JCB in the field of Palla Ram son of late Nathu Ram, resident of Pardi (Ramgarh). He immediately informed the nearer Border Out Post,” an official here said.
He said that the troops of BSF rushed to the spot and seized the shell, adding, “the shell is presently in the custody of the troops and the matter is being investigated.
