Live shell defused

KATHUA,  Jan 20:  The security agencies  defused an old live shell which was recovered from a pond at village Kharote in district Kathua today.
A police spokesman said that a villager noticed a shell lying in the marshy pond  and informed other people of  the area. Later, they informed police and the Army as well. The teams arrived there after some time. It was established that,  it was an old shell, believed to have been  abandoned in the pond during war. Later, it was  defused by the security agencies.
