REASI, May 15: Irked over  slow pace of works under General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF), inhabitants of Dharmari today staged a protest and blocked Reasi- Mahore road for four hour.
The locals assembled on the Dharmari TCP road in the morning and blocked it for traffic raising slogans against GREF terming it a cause of headache for them. They put burning tyres on the road and held a demonstration.
They  alleged that GREF was  not completing the project, which has become a cause of problem for people of the area. GREF had started the road work several years ago but still the  work is still incomplete because of its snail’s pace.
After four hour long protest, SHO and JE GREF reached the spot and pacified the situation assuring people that their issue will be brought into the knowledge of GREF as well as district administration.
On this assurance, protest was called off.
