Lochan alleges neglect of SCs

NAGROTA, Oct 22: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (NC) expressed great disappointment over the continuous neglect of Scheduled Caste (SC) community by the Central Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing workers’ meeting at Kattal Batal in Nagrota today, Vijay Lochan, Chairman of NC’s SC Cell highlighting the challenges faced by SC community in the region. The meeting was organized by Panch Lal Chand, Mangat Ram vice president District Rural-A, Kuldeep Kumar, District secretary Rural-A and Rattan Lal. Those who were present include Jagga Ram, Rakesh Singh Raka and Karan Singh.
Lochan expressed his dismay at the non-implementation of various SC Schemes within Jammu & Kashmir. He lamented the fact that many SC individuals were being denied access to their rightful pensions, and the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). He appealed to the SC community to unite and support the efforts of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah in building a stronger and more inclusive Jammu and Kashmir. He asserted that NC remains dedicated to the welfare and empowerment of SC community in Jammu and Kashmir.
