JAMMU, Sept 28: A Lok Adalat was held in the premises of District Court Complex, Kathua under the chairmanship of Vinod Chatterji Koul, Chairman District Legal Services Authority.
To settle the cases in the Lok Adalat, two benches were constituted. Bench No.1 comprised of Vinod Chaterji Koul (Principal District and Sessions Judge) and S C Katal, Additional District and Sessions Judge while as Bench No.2 comprised of Amarjeet Singh Langeh, CJM Kathua and Preet Simran Kour, Munsiff JMIC Kathua.
Nineteen cases including 11 related to MACT were taken up out of which seven cases were settled. An award of Rs 23,35,000 was also passed in the favour of petitioners.
