Lok Adalat held at Samba

SAMBA, Aug 28: A Lok Adalat was organised today at District Court Complex Samba under the chairmanship of M K Sharma, Chairman, DLSA and Principal District Session Judge, Samba for taking up cases for settlement.
Three benches were constituted for this purpose. A Special Bench was constituted for taking up MACT & Bank cases which was headed by M K Sharma, Principal District and Session Judge, Samba and assisted by S K Khanmotra advocate.
The second Bench was headed by Ajay Gupta, CJM Samba and assisted by Ms Pooja Raina, Munsif Samba for taking up Cr. Compoundable cases of all nature, NI Act and Petty Offences.
The Third Bench was constituted by Ms Swati Gupta, secretary, DLSA Samba and Ms Lakshmi Thappa retainer lawyer for taking up pre-Litigation matters, matrimonial cases and all other civil suits.
A total number of 42 cases were taken up by the Bench out of which 23 cases were disposed of amicably and an amount of Rs 17,46,650 was settled.
