Lonestar KFC drubs Novelty FC by 5-1

SRINAGAR, July 20: Professional side of Lonestar Kashmir Football Club (LKFC) defeated Novelty Football Club by 5-1 to advance in the Premier Division meet of the ongoing State Football League, organised by District Football Association (DFA) Srinagar at TRC ground, here.
Both sides played aggressive football right from the beginning but LKFC emerged victorious that too with a big margin. It was Novelty FC, who took the first lead when Asif netted the ball in the 30th minute thus kept the spectators spell bound.
However, LKFC regrouped immediately and levelled the score in the 35th minute through a half volley from Aqib. Within no time, the LKFC consolidated their position and Bilal added yet another goal in 40th minute to make it 2-1 at the end of first half.
In the second half, LKFC scored three more goals with Bilal completing his hatrick and Wasiq adding a nice goal in the dying movement.
Meanwhile, three matches were decided in the Junior Division at Polo Ground West. While Alamdar FC Gopalpora defeated North FC by 4-0, JJ Seven FC held National Dalgate FC to a 1-1 draw. In the third scheduled match, Bloosum FC Soura defeated Zahid Sports by 2-0.
In the meantime, J&K SRTC trounced Rahim Green FC by a solitary goal in the Super Division.
