JAMMU, Nov 13: Lord Hanuman statue was installed at Bajrangi Akhara, here today.
The statue was installed by former international wrestler and Senior Superintendent of Police, Dushyant Sharma who is also alumni of this Akhara.
The chief guest also paid floral worship to Lord Hanuman on this occasion. The chief guest thanked Ashok Khajuria, former Member Legislative Council (MLC) for providing funds for the installation of the statue as well as renovation of the Akhara.
The chief guest assured that a wrestling hall with matting of international standards will be constructed soon for the budding wrestlers of J&K. He also praised Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha for promoting sports in J&K.
Prominent other were present on the occasion, Pardeep Sharma of president Bajrangi Akhara Jammu, Vikram Sharma, Dheeraj Sharma, Kamal Sharma, Om Parkash, Krishan Sharma and many budding wrestlers of J&K .
