Low demand pulls down crude palm oil futures by 0.44%

NEW DELHI, July 15:  Crude palm oil prices were down by 0.44 per cent to Rs 431.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today after speculators trimmed positions amid sluggish demand at the spot market.
In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in August declined by Rs 1.90, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 431.80 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 91 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contracts traded lower by 90 paise, or 0.21 per cent, at Rs 431.90 per 10 kg in 47 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in crude palm oil futures to offloading of positions by speculators, triggered by sluggish demand in the spot market. (PTI)
