JAMMU, May 16: J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) urged the State Government to regularise the services of daily wage workers working for more than two decades most of whom have become over aged and are unable to seek jobs anywhere.
In a statement issued, Abdul Majid Khan, president of the federation said that on the one hand legislators who may serve even one term of 5 years or less are eligible for pension whileas those who are working for decades together are facing insecure service prospects despite the fact that they are working whole timely along with regular employees. This exposed the biased attitude of government towards daily wage workers, he added.
He also condemned the termination order of thousands of anganwadi workers and sought revocation of the order.
He asked the Government to redress all the issues at the earliest.
