LPG crisis

Sir,
This is in reference to the LPG Cap and Senior citizens by Dawarika Nath DE Oct 10.
In the   wake of LPG crises, the common man seems to be on the cross roads. It is very unfortunate and disgusting to see old aged persons waiting in long queues for hours in the open to get  the gas documents verified.
It is  duty of the  Govt to utilize its resources and authority to make the verification process and the LPG distribution system easy and smooth.
In the absence of the home delivery system, let the concerned administration ask the LPG dealers to open more and more distribution centres (outlets) in order to give some respite to the common man. Keeping in view the LPG crises the administration needs to be vigilant to curb any attempt of illegal black marketing of Gas cylinders.

Sir,
This refers to the news item Govt abreast with LPG problem published some days ago.
Merely convening meetings will not be solution of the LPG problems faced by the people of J&K state. Mr Minister said the matter has been taken up with the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas for enhancing the cap of subsidized gas cylinders in the state, but we should be aware of the fact that Union Govt has already given  permission to the Cong led Govt states for 09 subsidized cylinders. Since Cong is a major partner in the State Govt led by Omar Abdullah, the question of forwarding the matter to Union Govt does not stand merit.
I request to the CAPD Ministry to give directions to all concerned agencies to provide 09 subsidized cylinders to the customers without further harassment.
Yours etc…..
