LPGEF holds meet, lists problems of employees

JAMMU, Feb 21: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation (LPGEF) in a meeting here today discussed the problems of employees and pensioners.
Addressing the meeting, Manzoor Ahmad Kichloo, district president, LPGEF Kishtwar and Mohammed Shaban Bhat chief organizer, Kashmir province urged the Government to enhance Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month in favour of UT Government employees and pensioners as is given to Central employees and pensioners.
They also demanded restoration of Old Pension Scheme for the employees appointed after January 1 ,2010. Besides, they demanded holding of DPCs in various departments like PHE, Irrigation &Flood Control, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Health and Medical Education, PDD and PDC, restoration of leave encashment in favour of teaching community as is given to other categories of employees.
They also demanded immediate regularisation of daily wagers working in different departments of UT Government and release of their wages. The meeting was also addressed by Abdul Rashid Bhat district president LPGEF , Anantnag and Nazir Ahmed president Kashmir Electric Employees and Workers Association (KEWA) and a senior leader of the Federation.
