LS adjourned for day on account of sitting member Paraste’s death

NEW DELHI : The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day today after the Members condoled the death of sitting Member Dalpat Singh Paraste and six other former members.
Paraste, who passed away on June 1, was Lok Sabha Member from Shahdol Parliamentary Constituency of Madhya Pradesh.
He was also a member of the 6th, 9th, 13th and 14th Lok Sabhas.
On the first day of Monsoon Session, making obituary references, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan informed the House about the demise of Paraste and six former members — Prabhulal Rawat, Shakeelur Rehman, Pravin Rashtrapal, K Anirudhan, Rudra Madhab Ray and Neil Aloysius O’ Brien.
”We deeply mourn the loss of Dalpat Singh Paraste and other former colleagues,” Ms Mahajan said. (AGENCIES)
