JAMMU, Oct 27: Lieutenant Colonel Ankush Gupta from the Special Forces of the Indian Army has achieved an impressive feat at the IRONMAN 70.3 event held at Goa, today.
Hailing from the remote village of Khairi Bishnah of district Jammu, Lt. Col Gupta has competed IRONMAN 70.3. The event attracted 1,000 participants from India and 100 International athletes. Lt. Col Gupta finished the race with a remarkable rank of 18th overall.
The challenging triathlon consisted of a 1.9 km swim, followed by a 90 km cycling segment, and concluded with a 21.2 km run. Notably, he secured 18th place in his age category (35-39 years), placing him among the top 20 competitors. His dedication and performance serve as an inspiration to many, highlighting the spirit of endurance and excellence in sports.
