JAMMU, Dec 24 : Luthra Higher Secondary School, Talab Tillo, Jammu, celebrated its 56th Annual Day function with great pomp and show here today.
Organized in the school premises, the Annual Day function of Luthra Academy was graced by Ghulam Ahmed Mir, President, Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), who was the chief guest on this occasion, while former Minister and Leader of Opposition in Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Nawang Rigzin Jora was the Guest of Honour.
Th. Manmohan Singh, General Secretary, JKPCC; Anil Chopra, President, DCC(U); Pranab Shagotra, President, JKPYC; J. L. Koul, Block President, Talab Tillo; Sanjeev Sharma, Sushil Kumar and Khajuria were prominent among others present on the occasion.
Rajiv Luthra, Chairman and Sanjeev Luthra, Principal of the School respectively welcomed the guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, President, JKPCC, commended the role of private educational institutions in shaping the future of youths and in nation building by providing quality education to the pupils.
He said that the Luthra Academy has been pioneer in the field of quality education and always remained in the forefront since its inception.
“Youth is the future of India and need to be provided with quality education in consonance with the modern day world, for which private educational institutions have to play a great role,” Mir said.
In his address, Rajiv Luthra, Chairman of the School, read Annual Report of the School and assured the gathering to meet the aspirations of the people in general and parents of the students in particular for latest trends in education.
A large number of students along with their parents, besides, staff and management of the school attended the Annual Day function.
