Luxmi CC beats Udhampur CC by 24 runs

JAMMU, Mar 18: Luxmi CC trounced Udhampur CC by 24 runs in the ongoing 1st Bharat Rattan Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee Open Cricket Tournament, being played at Parade Ground, here today.
Batting first Luxmi CC scored 163 with the fall of six wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Former Ranji player Dhruv Mahajan made 47 runs off 32 balls, followed by Govind 32 runs in 27 balls and Abhinav made 22 runs. From bowling side, Gourav Khajuria and Sachin took two wickets each, whereas Takshdeep Singh and Ritik shared one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Udhampur CC bundled out at 139 by losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Ritik was the top scorer who made 36 runs whereas Gourav and Nikhil made 21 runs each. From bowling side, Rocky bagged three wickets, whereas Sameer Khajuria took two wickets and Govind, Akash, and Sahil clinched one wicket each.
Govind was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance, whereas the tournament is being organized by Northern Cricket Club under the supervision of Ashwani Sharma.
