JAMMU, Mar 2: M S Babu has assumed the charge of Managing Director, Chenab Valley Power Projects (P) Ltd.
An Electrical Engineer by profession, Mr Babu has more than 33 years of hands-on experience to his credit pertaining exclusively to Hydro Power Sector.
Prior to joining CVPP, he was working as Executive Director at NHPC Corporate office in Faridabad and looking after Operation & Maintenance functions of NHPC Power Stations alongside Safety functions. In his illustrative career, he has won various laurels and awards including “National Award for Meritorious Performance” for the year 2005-2006 as Head of Chamera Power Station-1 and also selected as “Eminent Engineer” for the year 2012 by Institution of Engineers (India).
He was associated with Salal Power Station in J&K for more than 16 years right from construction phase to commissioning and its Operation & Maintenance. He has also served as Head of Dhauliganga Power Station and also headed the Commercial Division of NHPC.
Chenab Valley Power Projects (P) Ltd. is a joint venture company of NHPC Limited, JKSPDC Limited and PTC (India) Limited.
