JAMMU, Aug 19: 2nd Stag Jammu Table Tennis Championship which is being conducted in Stag Jammu Table Tennis Academy Nanak Nagar, here under the direction of JKTTA was declared opened by former Senior Indian Ranked Players like Ajay Sharma, Satbir Singh and Sanjay Wahi.
Other senior players, Sanjeev Gupta, Renuka Thussu, Sanjeev Nagpal, Sanjay Mahajan, IP Singh and Manmeet Kaur were also present on the occasion.
Ajay Sharma and Sanjay Wahi played the inaugural game and gave encouragement and tips to budding stars. The exhibition match was played between Iknoor Kour and Rohan Langar, both Cadet Champions.
In the tournament more than 150 players are participating from the different districts of Jammu. The tournament will be conclude on August 22.
In Cadet Girls upto 12 years, Iknoor Kour beat Raghni Gupta by 10-12, 11-8, 11-1 and Hargun Kour defeated Taishka by 11-6 and 11-4.
In Cadet Boys upto 12 years, Akhilesh thrashed Aarit Badgotra by 11-7 and 11 8, Kunwarjit beat Kunal Mujoo by 11-6 and 11-7, Karmanya Wahi beat Shiv Aarpit by 11-4 and 11-7, Karmanya Sharma trounced Samik by 11-6 and 11-7, Divansh outplayed Shivain Aggarwal by 11-4 and 11-5 while Rohan Langar registered win over Vishavpartap by 11-8 and 11-3.
In Sub Junior Boys Under 14 years, Maanay beat Harshit by 11-7 and 11-4, Dhananjay defeated Aarnav by 11-3 and 11-5 whereas Anvit thrashed Vivek Chadha by 11-8 and 11-6.
The matches were conducted by Sandeep Khadotra, Menu and Ramesh Magotra.
