JAMMU, Sept 28:A section of Lawyers today organized an interaction programme with Member of Parliament from Jammu-Poonch constituency, Madan Lal Sharma and the Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma, here today.
During the interaction, Advocates admired the development work of the MP and his contribution towards Dogri language in last two successive tenures.
Madan Lal also cherished role of the Advocates for social causes and appealed the latter to participate actively in political activities and strengthen the democratic institutions in the State.
On the occasion, Mr Sharma also announced rupees thirty lakh for construction of Bar Room in the District Court Complex Jammu from his Constituency Development Fund.
Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma, in his address, said that the lawyers have very important role in the society to maintain communal harmony among the people.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included M K Bhardwaj, president of the Jammu Bar Association, D K Khajuria, Monika Kohli, B S Slathia (Ex-Bar presidents), Rohit Bhagat and Gagan Basotra.
Those present on the occasion, included Daljeet Singh Manhas, president of Young Lawyers Association, Ronik Sharma, Anoop Parihar, Anil Sharma, Rajesh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Kanav Raina, Gurdeep Singh, Salil Gupta, Rajneesh Parihar, Rashid Khan and others.
Advocate Sachin Gupta anchored the proceedings and vote of thanks was presented by S Randeep Singh.
