Magical Sayidah becomes J&K’s 1st blind student to qualify NET

JAMMU, Sept 23: Sayidah Bano, D/o Mohd Qasim Barcha, R/o Chuchot, Leh in Ladakh has created history by becoming the first blind student in Jammu and Kashmir to qualify National Eligibility Test (NET) in Urdu, the result of which was declared by the University Grants Commission (UGC) recently.
Magical Sayidah had her early education from Ahmedia School for blind in Aligarh and after completing her Graduation, B Ed and MA in Urdu from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Aligarh is presently pursuing for M Ed in the same University.
Having qualified the National Eligibility Test, Sayidah has not only made her parents, relatives and friends to feel proud but to the entire State of Jammu and Kashmir as this prestigious examination is considered to be a landmark achievement for the qualifiers in general and not to talk of the blind student like her.
