JAMMU, Oct 10: Congress organizing secretary and prominent party leader Vinod Mahajan has resigned from the party citing lack of inner party democracy and indifferent attitude of the senior party leaders towards the State.
In a statement, Mahajan said he was feeling suffocated in the party as senior party leaders were paying no attention towards the problems and demands of common man in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the Congress leaders were indifferent toward flood and firing victims in the State and despite being coalition partner, they failed to get justice done with the people.
Mahajan added that he would decide future course of joining any other political party to serve the people very soon. “I will join a party, which works for welfare of the people,” he said.
