SRINAGAR, Dec 26: The Hussaini Sports Club today organized first ever Girls Chillai Kalan Run at Srinagar from Kashmir University to Duck Park Foreshore Road, here today.
The race was flagged off by Sakeena Akhter, Cricket coach Kashmir University and it was for the first time that any competitive winter sports event was held in the district.
In the event, 50 girls from different Clubs & institutions participated.
In the junior girls’ group Nazia Bano finished first, while Zainab Ali clinched second place, Saniya secured third place, Insha finished fourth and Aisha Manzoor bagged 5th place.
In the senior girls group, Muskaan finished first, while as Hurmah Shah second, Ulfat third, Masrat Jan 4th place and Kulsooma Bano bagged 5th place.
Prize distribution function was also held in which Cricket coach Kashmir University Sakeena was the chief guest.
Besides, president Hussaini Sports Club Tariq Rashid Ghani, senior members of Club Ahsan Ali, Hamid Aziz, Zahid Hussain, Farman Ali, Vilayat Hussein, Jahangir Mohammed, Tahir Hussein, Javeed Ahmad, Aqib Hussein, Nusrat Wani, Rizwan, Shayista and Samiya were also present on the occasion.
Ahsan Ali, secretary, Hussaini Sports Club, said that the Club is planning to organize Big Kabaddi League very soon.
