Main accused in stabbing case arrested

JAMMU, May 6: Gharota police arrested main accused, who was evading his arrest in stabbing case.
As per police sources, a youth identified as Reshav Sharma (23), son of Shan Lal, a resident of village Kot, Mohalla Badhani, was attacked by four unknown miscreants over some old rivalry near his residence with sharp edged weapon.
The victim received serious injuries on his arms and forehead and was immediately rushed to Government Primary Hospital, Bhalwal, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
A case under FIR Number 19/16 under Sections 341, 323 and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at police station Gharota and hunt was launched to nab the accused.
On specific information, a team from Gharota police station conducted raid and arrested the main accused, who has been identified as Nasir Hussain, son of Noor Ali, a resident of village Kot, tehsil Bhalwal.
Hunt is going on to nab the associates of the main accused, who were also involved in the stabbing case.
Police team led by SHO Gharota Inspector Rakesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinder Pal Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
