RAMBAN, Mar 5: Batote, Chanderkote and Ramban Police foiled major bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 110 cattle.
As per police sources, teams from Police Stations Batote, Chanderkote and Ramban during checking intercepted 11 vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03H-9378, JK02CV-1420, JK02CA-8284, JK02CV-2536, JK20A-9835, JK14F-3081, JK03H-7135, JK03H-0259, JK02AR-1385, JK01BF-0596 and JK02BA-1634 which were on their way from Jammu towards Srinagar.
During checking, police team rescued 110 bovine animals and seized all the vehicles.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Stations Batote, Chanderkote and Ramban and investigation set into motion.
The bovines smuggling bids were foiled by SHO Batote Inspector Sudhir Sadhotra, SHO Chanderkote Inspector PD Singh and SHO Ramban Inspector Sandeep Charak under the supervision of DySP DAR Ramban Viqar Younis Bhat and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
