JAMMU, June 30: After the demand of Punjabi and Gojri, the Sanskrit scholar president of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, Mahant Rohit Shastri has put forth the demand of making Sanskrit compulsory in schools.
In a press statement here Shastri said the inclusion of Dogri, Bodhi and Kashmiri language in schools and colleges is ggod step, but Sanskrit language which is rich heritage of the country shall also be given due respect and share. This is called as mother of all the languages and Govt must give this language due respect and honour. He strongly pleaded that this language should be included in studies so that the young generation could be well aware of our past heritage.
