JAMMU, July 23: Chairman Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra, today inaugurated various Public Stand Posts (drinking water connection) at Veer Marg.
After the inauguration, Mr. Malhotra addressed a public gathering at a function organised by Veer Marg Trader Association.
President, Veer Marg Trader Association, Sunil Sharma apprised the Chairman of various demands including construction of public toilet, installation of modern electric poles, replacement of old electric wires etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Malhotra said that Government is initiating all steps to ensure adequate power and water supply besides extending other necessary facilities to people of the state. He appealed the people to extend their complete cooperation to the Government so that the mission of present dispensation of expanding the reach of better basic amenities to every nook and corner of th state especially unattended parts could be met.
Responding to demands of the association, he asked the association to identify land for construction of public toilet.
