Malhotra visits AFC HQ, reinforces AIFF’s 2031 Vision

JAMMU, Apr 13: Former Indian footballer and Technical Committee Member of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Arun Malhotra, visited the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of a significant development aligning with India’s official bid to host the AFC Asian Cup 2031.
During his visit, Arun Malhotra engaged in meaningful discussions with AFC officials, focusing on the growth of football in Asia, with a particular emphasis on India. The talks explored the challenges and opportunities faced by both emerging and established footballing nations, reflecting AIFF’s commitment to elevate Indian football on the continental stage.
His visit marked a deeper involvement in football administration and showcased India’s proactive approach in strengthening international football relations, especially at a time when AIFF has formally submitted its bid to host the prestigious tournament in 2031.
Arun Malhotra expressed confidence in the direction Indian football is heading. “AIFF is taking all necessary steps to ensure the best performance by the Blue Tigers in upcoming tournaments. The future of Asian, particularly Indian football, is promising,” he stated with optimism.
