DODA, Nov 7: Police arrested a man along with illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Doda Police Station laid a naka near Dessa road and intercepted a pedestrian, who was trying to hide himself from the cops.
During checking, police recovered 14 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Ram Singh, son of Bhola Singh, a resident of Manashi Bhagwah, district Doda. He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native area for selling among the masses for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 235/17 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Rughbir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
