JAMMU, Mar 19: Kanachack police has arrested a man and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachack Police Station laid a naka at Kangrail and intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 37 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Sham Lal, son of Paala Ram, a resident of Kangrail.
A case under FIR Number 50/2020 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Suram Singh.
