KATHUA, June 17: A man has been attacked with sharp edged weapon in village Nanan, falling under the jurisdiction of Kathua Police Station. However, acting swiftly, police arrested two persons including victim’s wife.
As per police sources, Baldev Raj, a resident of Budhi had gone to the in-laws house of her daughter Pooja Devi to amicably solve a domestic violence issue.
The situation turned violent and Shammi Kumar, son of Baldev Raj, a resident of Budhi attacked Pooja Devi’s husband namely Pardeep Kumar (32), son of Gudi Ram, a resident of village Nanan with sharp edged weapon.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to District Hospital Kathua from where he was later referred to GMCH Jammu for advanced treatment.
Acting swiftly, a team from Police Station Kathua rushed to the incident spot and arrested Shammi Kumar and his sister Pooja Devi.
A case under FIR Number 216/18 under Sections 307 and 452 RPC has been registered at Kathua Police Station and investigation started.
