Man attacked with sharp edged weapon, accused arrested

JAMMU, Aug 18: A man was arrested today for attacking and injuring another man with sharp edged weapon in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, over some old enmity a man identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Bitta son of Munshi Ram, resident of Bambyal, attacked another person namely Chaman Lal son of Ramesh Kumar, resident of Bambyal, late last night.
Chaman Lal got injured in the attack and was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. On the complaint of the kin of the victim, police registered a case FIR No 183/2017 under relevant sections against the accused and launched a manhunt to nab him, as he was on run after committing the crime.
Today a police team led by SHO, police station Nagrota, Inspector Bhushan Manhas, under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota, Yashbir Singh Slathia and overall supervision of SP Rural, Arun Gupta, arrested the accused by conducting a raid after receiving specific inputs.
